Position Description:

Under general direction, researches, creates and manages all aspects of grant making for the agency. Leads the process of retaining existing grants and activities, and identifying and investigating potential grants and funding opportunities; evaluates the eligibility of FrontLine Service for new opportunities and coordinates with various FrontLine staff to prepare applications and subsequent contracts, and monitors progress. This position will be seen as the a key representative of FrontLine Service' to the community and as such, must demonstrate exemplary interpersonal, verbal and written presentation skills.

Convene meetings with agency program, fiscal and executive personnel to identify current and future needs of the agency.

Submits documents, reports, and outcomes to fulfil grant/funder obligation requirements.

Maintains all pertinent records, files and documents; assures completeness and accuracy consistent with external and internal audit requirements.

Research, identify and develop individual, corporate, foundation and government grant prospects.

Write, edit, package and send letters of inquiry.

Prepare all grant proposals for individual, foundation, corporate and government sources to support the full continuum of programs.

Facilitate meetings with appropriate personnel/parties to create agenda and presentation, with corresponding documentation, for funder site visits.

Maintain roster of reporting requirements for funded projects; submit program and financial reports within appropriate deadlines to ensure funder compliance.

Maintain calendar of grant submission deadlines and submit grants within required timeframes.

Work with program staff to develop program evaluation and success measure tools that comply with grant contracts and reporting requirements.

Review monthly program reports and maintain reportable statistics for use in grant reports and proposals.

Coordinate contract audits with program and finance staff.

Maintain and update the Raiser's Edge database to maintain calendar of grant submission deadlines, and all activities associated with grants management.

Collect grant/donor information in a sophisticated fundraising database/file system.

Provide assistance in agency, major donor, grassroots and event fundraising efforts.

Assist in the production and distribution of FrontLine Service marketing materials

(#8)Identify and implement networking strategies to develop stronger community ties and building the agency's reputation.

Develop and incorporate behavioral health and behavioral health system knowledge into grant making, strategic imperatives and planning.

Special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related discipline with a minimum of three years of related experience and a proven track record in grant writing and program development. Experience with Raiser's Edge fundraising software and funding through HUD, SAMSHA, ODOC a plus.

Qualified candidates should possess excellent writing and computer skills (Microsoft Office Word, Access, Powerpoint and Excel), and database management skills. The candidate must be highly organized with the ability to implement systems and follow-up processes, able to effectively work under pressure, use independent judgment and produce a quality work product within tight time constraints. Previous experience will demonstrate a proven track record in securing new funding opportunities; comprehensive knowledge of research, and the ability to distinguish and identify funding opportunities for special programs.
