Clarity 2 Prosperity is searching for a Director of Conflicts and Suitability to lead and manage all aspects of the Department of Labor standards and initiatives relating to suitability of investment recommendations, conflict of interest policies, and adherence to impartial conduct standards for the firm. Additionally, the individual selected will work to understand the needs of the organization, both typical and unique when they arise, put a strategy in place to meet the needs and execute the strategy; assist the CCO with the implementation of corporate compliance functions; and be directly involved in oversight of compliance processes ensuring clients' best interests are being met.
The ideal individual will be a self-starter and has the ability to work with very little supervision.
Lead the DOL suitability initiative and the suitability team
Coordinate with insurance agents, investment advisors, Compliance, suitability departments, and others within the internal team
Possess awareness of material conflicts of interest at the affiliate level and understand what controls are in place to prevent these conflicts from affecting the exercise of the best judgment of an adviser or the financial institution as a fiduciary in rendering advice to a retirement investor.
Address Material Conflicts of Interest and monitor agent adherence to BICE's Impartial Conduct Standards
Obtain regular reports from affiliates on their material conflicts and the policies and procedures that are in place to mitigate such conflicts
Separately review recommendations of the Financial Advisor and supervise actions
Oversee case managers and ensure that plans created by financial advisors are appropriate and in the best interest of the client
Establish policies and procedures related to conflicts of interest
Adhere to impartial conduct standards, monitor sales practices and adhere to rule requirements
Keep written record of material conflicts and monitor compliance
Coordinate activities with outside legal counsel
Create written procedures and processes
Update disclosures and Company website quarterly, ensuring accuracy and consistency
Manage the compliance calendar, ensuring compliance activities are accurately completed.

Educational Background and Licensing
Background in Compliance at a financial services firm with 5+ years of progressive experience
Experience in monitoring and/or surveillance, whether directly or through an oversight or reporting-line function
Ability to work in a team-based environment, possessing confidence in decisions
Ability to guide the company through difficult and challenging decisions
Legal background a plus
Series 65 registration a plus
